Vision Office Interiors Ltd have chosen Mardak Construction Accounts (MCA) as their accounting software to support their business as their company grows.

As a small company who have been trading for 2 years, they had previously been using Excel spreadsheets to manage the company accounting. With the company rapidly growing they recognised that they require a specialised accounting product for their industry and have initially taken a 2 user core accounting package with the Purchase Order Processing advanced module.

Vision Office Interiors Ltd are based in Reading and as their name suggests work primarily on office interior fit-outs.

Michael Thorne Construction Ltd, based in Exeter is one of the latest new clients who have chosen Mardak Construction Accounts.

They had previously been using Pegasus for their company accounting. After looking into the marketplace, they decided to shortlist MCA along with Coins.

After careful consideration and discussions, Michael Thorne Ltd decided that the solution offered by Mardak best met their criteria. They have taken an 18 user system which includes Document Management & Processing. They have also chosen to take several additional modules including; Purchase Order Processing, Stock Control and Fixed Assets.

The company is made up of 4 divisions; Commercial & Industrial Works, Concrete Division, Agricultural & Equestrian Division, Small Works & Maintenance. Michael Thorne have 100 employees working throughout the South West of England.

Another new client is M J Stevens Ltd. They are also an Exeter based company, who have moved to Mardak Construction Accounts from DAB.  M J Stevens are a contractor company specialising in plastering, screeding and dry lining. They work predominantly in the West Country.

Following a demonstration of the software, M J Stevens attended a reference site visit at an existing MCA client. The visit proved very useful and enabled them to discuss the product with an established MCA client, who is local to them.

Following this successful reference site visit, M J Stevens decided that MCA was definitely the product best suited to their requirements. They have taken a 5 user MCA system with the Sales Invoicing advanced module. They have also chosen to include 2 licences for Document Management and Processing.

Despite the "credit crunch" the last few months have been our busiest yet in terms of product demonstrations to potential clients. It seems that companies in the construction industry are recognising the need to have efficient and accurate cost control systems in place.
