RTI News & Updates for Evolution Users
HMRC Report RTI Launch Success
Since the launch of RTI on 6th April, HMRC have successfully received over 70,000 Pay As You Earn (PAYE) returns. We have also had confirmation from Evolution users of successful EAS and FPS submissions.
EAS Submissions Message
If the submit button on your EAS is greyed out, please ensure you are in the RTI Processing menu and not in the Payroll Maintenance.
You must run the report before the submit button will become active.
Latest version of RTI Training Notes
Please make sure you are referring to the latest version of the RTI Training Notes, Issue 2. You can view our amendments guide below to see what has changed from Issue 1.
Webinar: Evolution Pension Tables
From the 2013‐14 tax year, employee Pension deduction information will need to be reported to HMRC as part of the FPS submission. This means that all Pensions need to be setup via a Pension Table in Maintenance and not via a Pay Text / Description.
Therefore if you currently use Pay Text / Description for Pension purposes then you will need to prepare for 2013‐14 by setting up Pension tables and assigning them to the relevant employees.
HMRC Online Services 4th and 5th April 2013
Please note HMRC have scheduled maintenance planned for the 4th and 5th April. You should still be able to make submissions (PAYE end of year and CIS submissions) however there will be a delay in receiving the online acknowledgement. Any acknowledgement will be sent 7th – 9th April.
HMRC will accept RTI 2013/14 submissions from 6:00am on 6th April. Any sent earlier than this will be rejected.HMRC have also advised that you check their website regularly (click on the link below) for information regarding the specific services affected.
Your new Version of Evolution is available to download
It is recommended that you download and install Evolution version 7.4 as soon as possible in preparation for completing your Payroll Year End and going live on RTI.
P60 Forms for 2012-13 Year End
The forms are P60 (SingleSheet) (2012-2013) or P60 (SingleSheet/Shortened) (2012-2013) if using a laser printer, and P60 (Continuous) (2012-2013) if using a dot matrix printer.
We would strongly advise printing these forms to a LASER printer. If you do not have a laser printer and you need to print the P60 forms to a dot matrix printer, then please let the Support Department know before your year end.
Forms are available from HM Revenue & Customs and their Employers online order form can be found at: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/paye/forms-publications/onlineorder.htm.
