In September 2007, AMEON Building Services Engineering successfully went live on their new Evolution M (previously Mardak) construction accounting system after losing confidence in their previous system providers Extreme Estimation.

Reducing Manual Processes

The business has used a range of accounting systems in the past, initially running Opera from Pegasus before using Extreme Estimation alongside Sage for Payroll and accounting purposes.

Errors were extremely difficult to spot on our old system, often taking days to rectify the problem, however Evolution M has a very logical workflow and errors can be quickly identified and resolved within minutes.”

Real Time Saving Benefits

“A major benefit we have gained since switching to Evolution M has been the ability to balance our Contract and Nominal Ledgers. Previously we would waste a lot of time manually trying to balance actual costs with our Contract Manager’s valuations to find the true nominal situation.

When a misbalance does occur we can quickly export the information into Excel and identify where the difference is and amend, which used to take me days!

The CIS Returns are also very straightforward in Evolution M, simply run the report and send off to the HMRC with confidence.”
