The system is designed to handle construction specific sales allowing the efficient production of invoices, credit notes and applications via the Sales Ledger. All sales transactions can be entered either cumulatively or by movement, providing you with great flexibility of input.

Flexible and robust contract costing
With our Evolution Corporate construction accounting software you can gain a true financial picture of costs on your contracts. This helps you to understand which contracts are your most profitable and why, whilst importantly analysing those contracts which are costing the business money.
The contract costing module captures all costs at every stage of the contract from committed costs as purchase orders are placed through actual costs as purchase invoices and subcontractor certificates are processed, to the actual cash spend on a contract.
All balances can be compared to budget. This allows you to understand how the contract is performing, where the contract is over and under spending, and analyse the effect of each contract on the company's overall cash flow.
A flexible costing structure allows you to define the categories you would like to capture costs against. For example Evolution Corporate allows costs to be broken down by resource to help drill down into the cost of things like materials used, labour, use of plant and subcontractors.
Flexible Payroll module
The flexible Payroll module allows payments by cash, cheque or BACS to be made at weekly, fortnightly, 4 weekly or monthly payment frequencies to support both costed and non costed employees.
The electronic filing module allows you to prepare information and submit electronically to HMRC.
Capture timesheets of individual employees working onsite and allocate the cost of labour to the relevant contract for which they are working, helping to build a true picture of the actual cost of labour on a contract.
Extensive security levels are available in our Payroll, ensuring only authorised personnel have access to view or amend information held. This security is carried over for reporting.
Sophisticated management reporting
Evolution Corporate construction software includes a built in report writer which enables you to quickly extract the data you need from all areas of the system in the format you require.
Print, export to Excel, save as a PDF or send to a colleague directly from the system.
To enable advanced reporting and deeper interrogation of information, Evolution Corporate provides a sophisticated advanced reporting module called Excel Automation which allows directors and business managers to create the exact complex reports they desire.
Pre-defined Excel spread sheets are created which combine data from multiple sources within the Evolution system, for example Nominal and Contract Ledgers.
When this spreadsheet is reopened or refreshed it will update the data being displayed with any changes that have been made within the Evolution system. The system's specific formulas have been created although there is no limit to the functionality and the formulas which can be applied to the data within Excel.
Cost Value Reconciliation
The CVR module enables you to view the true costs and revenue of a contract at any date in time and make relevant adjustments to reflect the true profitability of a contract.
This allows the finance and management teams to compare the true situation of a contract against that originally tendered providing full visibility of your company’s current profitability and cash position.
The CVR module provides sign off flexibility involving Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors as required, allowing you to replicate current authorisation processes within your business. As all authorisations are managed within the system, users can go in and check the status of a CVR adjustment at any time and add notes to create a history of the contract.
Subcontractor management and compliance
Effectively managing the use of subcontractors can be a time consuming and costly task. Within the Evolution Corporate Subcontractor Ledger, you have all the tools required to maintain subcontractor information and authorise payments as and when activities are completed.
Plus, all the legislative requirements of the CIS300 scheme are covered and HMRC reporting requirements are handled via an online subcontractor verification feature.

Management of applications and retentions
Issuing applications and keeping track of Retentions is key to managing a successful construction business.
